Tort Saadé & Associates, P.S.C. is a local accounting firm which provides tax, financial management, accounting, accounting outsourcing, and general consulting services to local and international businesses in Puerto Rico. The firm professional staff includes five Certified Public Accountants and seven accountants. The firm was founded in April, 1997. Our offices are located at State Road 845, Number 470, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
José A. Tort Saadé, the president of the firm, started his professional career in KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, an international accounting, tax and consulting firm where he worked for three years in the audit and tax departments. In 1995 he moved to PepsiCo Puerto Rico, Inc. as tax advisor to the six divisions of the Company in Puerto Rico. As such, he was in charge of all the local income, volume of business and payroll taxes for Pizza Hut Puerto Rico, KFC Puerto Rico, Taco Bell Puerto Rico, Frito Lay Caribbean, PFS Caribe and the Concentrate Manufacturing Operations. In 1996 he was promoted to Business Analyst within the financial planning department of the Concentrate Manufacturing Operations. In 1997 he provided his services as law clerk at McConnell Valdés Law Firm tax department.
Mr. Tort obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration Magna Cum Laude in 1992 with a major in Accounting. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1992, when he approved the CPA examination with the highest grade in Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants and of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
